1st Annual Charlie Sifford Cup

On June 5, 2022,  six youth were invited to participate in the 1st Annual Charlie Sifford cup at the Legendary Langston Golf Course in Washington D.C. in partnership with Golf. My Future. My Game. This event celebrated the 100th birthday of golf Legend Charlie Sifford. His son Charlie Sifford Jr. was in attendance along with the Langston Legends, giving the history of Mr. Sifford and other African American professional golfers.

Peddie Cab Tour of the National Monuments

Our youth participated in a Peddie cab tour of the National Monuments. They saw the Washington Monument, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and WWII Memorial.

Youth Making New Friends at the Golf Tournament

I was proud that our youth played with honesty and integrity, displayed sportsmanship and made new friends.

Visit to the U.S Capitol Building

During our trip to Washington D.C. we were honored to visit the U.S. Capitol courtesy of 

Tim Bertocci, Chief of Staff (DC) for Congressman Dean Phillips at U.S. House of Representatives

College Tour of Howard University

Our youth had an opportunity to tour HBCU Howard University campus and learn about the rich history and famous alumni that have graduated from this esteemed university.

Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture Tour

We were fortunate to tour the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. It was a very emotional tour and a must see for all.
